PM Modi speaks about his life with Actor Akshay Kumar

In a conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Akshay Kumar, the PM shared a light moment with the actor and spoke about his likes and life in general. Dubbed a "non-political interview", short teasers of the interaction were released to the media on Tuesday. Here are the things PM Modi shared with Akshay Kumar:

Here are 10 things PM Modi shared with Akshay Kumar:

1. I never thought I'd become the Prime Minister. A common person doesn't think that. The kind of background I come from, even if I got a simple job, my mother would have been distributing ladoos to neighbors.

2. I never had a bank account earlier. When I was in school, people from Dena Bank came and gave us a piggy bank. I never had enough money. Later, the bank officials tracked me and they wanted to close the account due to inactivity. Thirty-two years later, they told me I had an account since childhood. When I became chief minister, the salary used to get credit. I told them I wanted to give away the money, they tried to dissuade me, saying I had cases against me and I might need it, but I insisted I wanted to give Rs. 21 lakh from the bank account to people in need.

3. I was quite a wanderer. I found answers to my own questions. I have been on my own since I was very young. That led to a feeling of detachment. Later, even if I called my mother to live with me, she wanted to spend time in her village. Also, I didn't get enough time to spend with her.

4. I don't get angry easily. But it's a part of human nature. These are emotions that just spread negativity. Right from the time I began my career, I have never had an opportunity to express anger.

5. There's a difference between anger and being strict. You just have to ensure discipline at times.

6. Whenever I got overwhelmed with emotions, I would write it all on paper. Then I would analyze it. This helped me realize my own mistakes. But of course, I no longer have that much time. This is how I trained myself to respond to situations.

7. People will be surprised and I should not say this in the election season, but Mamata didi sends me gifts every year. She still sends me one or two kurtas that she picks herself a year.

8. I follow you (Akshay Kumar) and Twinkle Khanna ji on Twitter. From the way she targets me, I understand there must be peace in your family life. All her anger must have been spent on me, and so you must be feeling at peace.

9. I have always been inspired by Mahatma Gandhi ji. Cleanliness is also important to promote tourism. Also, the construction of nine crore toilets is the nation's achievement, not mine.

10. I also read (Twitter posts) and have fun. I enjoy them (memes). I look less at Modi; I look at the creativity. The biggest benefit of social media to me is that I can understand the common man's thoughts.

Election Commission bans release of PM Modi biopic ahead of Lok Sabha elections

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has stopped the release of biopic 'PM Narendra Modi' for the duration of 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In its statement, the election body said that any material disturbing the level playing field in favor of any political party or individual should not be displayed. Opposition parties have been calling for a ban on the movie in view of Model Code of Conduct (MCC). The ECI said that it has also received complaints about 'NTR Laxmi' and 'Udyama Simham'.

"Any biopic material in nature of biography sub-serving the purpose of any political entity or any individual entity connected to it, which has potential to disturb level playing field during the election, should not be displayed in electronic media including cinematograph during the operation of MCC," the ECI said in its statement.

The ECI decision to ban the screening of PM Narendra Modi comes a day before its release. The biopic on PM Modi was supposed to be released on April 11 after earlier delays. The release of the film was deferred last week on grounds of pending certification clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which it secured yesterday. The original release date for biopic PM Narendra Modi was April 12. It was moved ahead to April 5 by the producers citing public demand.

Before the CBFC certification yesterday, the Supreme Court dismissed a plea filed by a Congress activist seeking a stay on the release of the biopic and asked him to raise the matter before the ECI. The Supreme Court said it dismissing the petition for the stay on the release of the film as it was "premature" since the movie was yet to be certified by the CBFC. The court said in its judgment that even if the film was released on April 11, it would be appropriate for the plaintiff to seek redressal from the Election Commission.

The Congress activist had sought a stay on the biopic's release till the completion of the Lok Sabha elections. In his plea, he had alleged that it was designed to "manipulate, influence and impress viewers and voters".

Is PM Modi's film creating a political atmosphere in favor of Modi?

There is a tremendous discussion of PM Narendra Modi on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These films will be released on 5th April, before the Lok Sabha elections 2019. Earlier, there were allegations about the content of some other films, including The Accidental Prime Minister, that their purpose was to make the BJP advantage during Lok Sabha elections.

One such question was asked to Vivek Oberoi, who plays the Prime Minister in PM Narendra Modi, whether the films are creating an atmosphere in favor of Modi. Indeed, Rahul Kanwal asked questions - before the election PM Modi is releasing the film. Is not it to give a message to the voter in this election environment? Vivek Oberoi said, "Will the voters be affected by the release of the film before the election?" There are several shows going on in the news channels, so will they stop telecasting before the elections. "

Vivek Oberoi said, "You can not make a stranger by merely showing a movie before the election. I do not understand why the Congress party is so scared that this film is about to give an inspiration. Anyone who sees this film will realize patriotism. "

"PM Narendra Modi is a story of a man who goes ahead with selling tea and then become the country's PM after hard work. We just wanted to show the inspirational story of Modi".

Vivek, while giving clarion on the charges, said, "PM Modi is not being made a hero by the film, he is already the hero of the country, every citizen of this country considers it."

On another question related to the controversy over the film, Vivek said, "People have been very supportive to other political films released before PM Narendra Modi. But now there are things to stop the release of my film, Which is wrong. "

PM Narendra Modi: Check Out Vivek Anand Oberoi’s Different Avatars from the Modi Biopic

Actor Vivek Anand Oberoi will be seen in nine different avatars in his forthcoming film PM Narendra Modi, which will show the Prime Minister’s journey from his humble beginnings to where he has reached today.

Oberoi has been working hard to get his look and character right. Talking about his shooting schedule, a source said, "Vivek Anand Oberoi gets up 2.30am each day, goes under the process of 7-8 hours makeup and is on the set by 8 am ready to shoot. Due to prosthetics, he can only consume liquids throughout the duration of the shoot."

On Oberoi’s casting, producer Sandip Singh, said, "I wanted a versatile actor to play this role. Vivek made an unconventional debut with Company and also gave Saathiya in the same year. I wanted the actor to give me one year of his life before the shoot begins because the film ranges from 1957 to 2019 in order to understand the journey.”

“Vivek gave 15 look tests that needed 7-8 hours of make up each day. When an actor shows this dedication for the film, the filmmaker and the whole crew is extremely enthusiastic and encouraged to make the film," he added.

Directed by Omung Kumar, PM Narendra Modi also features actors Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Zarina Wahab, Barkha Sengupta and Anjan Shrivastav in important roles. It will release on April 12, 2019.
