Youth tied with chains, beaten up in Mewat over alleged affair; Whether Gurugram police is faulty in handling crime?

Gurugram :
A shocking video has gone viral on social media showing brutal thrashing of a local youth by residents of Dhudiyakabas village for allegedly having an affair with a village woman.
The incident happened five days ago when the victim had gone to the village along with a friend. He was tied with iron chains to a tree and thrashed till he fell unconscious. The youth was then made to eat mud as penance and let off only when his family reached the spot.

The accused filmed the entire torture and "circulated" it as a "warning" for anybody trying to have an affair with village women.

The victim was rushed to hospital, where he is under treatment. His family filed a police complaint saying he had gone to get money he had lent to a villager, but was falsely framed for having an affair and thrashed mercilessly.

According to the complaint, Mushtaq, a resident of Pol village, had gone to Dudhiyakabas along with a friend on motorbike to allegedly get back Rs 15,000 he had lent to one Taufiq.

It alleged that when he reached Taufiq's home, the latter gathered his friends. They started thrashing Mushtaq, accusing him of misbehaving with a woman, the complaint said.

"They refused to listen to me and dragged me to tree where I was tied with chain. I was brutally beaten up. Only after my friend, who managed to flee, got my family there did they let me go that too after eating mud as penance. I want action against all of them," Mushtaq said.

The local police, meanwhile, are conducting raids to nab the accused and are also looking into the viral video.
