Govt to focus on ‘zero dropout’ rate; Will this scheme of government succeed?

Chandigarh :
The state government has decided to launch a ‘zero dropout’ campaign for children of labourers in the state so as to ensure continuity in their education.

This was informed by Minister of State for Labour and Employment Nayab Singh during a one-day workshop on Child Labour organised by the Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights on the occasion of World Day against Child Labour, here.

He directed the officers to inform the owners of brick kilns, shops and houses, the legalities against engaging child labourers as strict legal action would be taken against them. He urged the social organisations and the NGOs to come forward for the success of this campaign.
