Honey trap: Woman among five arrested in Fatehabad; Are Honey Trap incidents growing in Haryana?

Chandigarh :
In a honey trap case at Fatehabad, the police arrested five persons, including a woman, who recorded her conversation with the victim and then threatened to lodge a complaint against him.

A spokesperson of the police said Teja Singh, a class IV employee at the blood bank in Civil Hospital, had lodged a complaint that some youths were blackmailing him on the basis of his telephonic conversation with a woman.

He alleged that initially, they had demanded Rs 1 lakh to settle the matter, but now, they had scaled down their demand to Rs 40,000.

On the advice of the police, Teja Singh called the callers to the bus stand to take the first instalment of Rs 20,000. The accused came in a car and the moment they accepted the money, they were nabbed by a police party. The police have identified the accused as Sunil, alias Sonu of Shekhupur Daroli, Dharambir and Sneha from Banawali, Vijay Singh from Kharaiti Khera and Jai Singh from Bighar road in Fatehabad.
